Bird Feeder Preferences for Common Birds

To attract common backyard birds it is helpful to know what type of bird feeder they prefer.  This list gives some idea of the feeder preferences of some common birds.  Use it as a guide, this is generally what they prefer, but some birds will vary their eating habits.  We have a male red-bellied woodpecker that just loves our squirrel proof, sunflower seed filled, tube feeder.  But every once in a while, as if he wanted a change of scenery, he jumps over to our hopper feeder and grabs a few sunflower seeds and takes off.  You can find a wide selection of feeders for your backyard at our Nature Mall.
